Are you bothered by arthritis?  Concerned about heart disease? You may be eligible to participate in a new research study for people who have pain from osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.  While in the study, you will receive study-related medical care, regular study cheek-ups, and study medication, all at no charge.  Even if you’re already taking pain medication for arthritis, you still may qualify. 

To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old, have had either osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis for at least 6 months, and have been taking regular medication for your pain for at least 6 months.  In addition, you must have or be at high risk for heart disease.

Twenty thousand people from the US and around the world will be participating in this new study.
